Catch Hook or Catch Raw Hook?

Catch Hook. WAButton sends application/json and Zapier parses it. Catch Raw Hook is for unparsed bodies and headers. Webhooks by Zapier is on Zapier Professional and above, not on Zapier's Free plan.

My Zap is on but nothing arrives

The URL in WAButton must match the Catch Hook URL exactly. Send another test from Notifications, then Test trigger in Zapier.

Create a Catch Hook trigger

In the Zap editor, set the Trigger to Webhooks by Zapier. For Event, choose Catch Hook. Continue. Leave Pick Off A Child Key empty so the full body is available.

Consiglio: Catch Hook is the parsed-body trigger. Use Catch Raw Hook only if you need the X-WAButton-Event header as a field.

Copy the Zapier URL

Zapier shows a unique URL, typically https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/…. Copy it.

Send a test from WAButton

In the widget editor open Notifications. Enable the webhook (Pro), paste the Catch Hook URL, and click the test button. Back in Zapier, open Test trigger and confirm the sample lead appears.

Consiglio: The sample includes "test": true. Production leads omit that key.

Add an action and turn the Zap on

Add Google Sheets, Slack, or email. Map the parsed fields. Publish and turn the Zap on. Leave the same URL in WAButton. Catch Hook is a Zapier Professional feature, not Free.

Off Zaps fail closed

A Catch Hook URL for a Zap that is off or deleted returns 404. WAButton will retry, then stop. Turn the Zap on before you rely on it.

Same payload as n8n and Make

One webhook contract. Swap the URL if you move from Zapier to n8n later.
