Terms of Service
Last updated 11 August 2026
These terms govern your use of WAButton. By creating an account or embedding our widget, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.
The service
WAButton provides an embeddable chat and lead capture widget that hands conversations to WhatsApp, plus a dashboard for configuring it. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to WhatsApp or Meta. Your use of WhatsApp itself is governed by their terms, not ours, and we cannot control changes they make to their platform.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised. You must give accurate registration details and keep them current. You must be at least 16 years old.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use WAButton to:
- send unsolicited bulk messages, or anything that breaches WhatsApp's own policies
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights
- collect personal data without a lawful basis, or without telling people what you will do with it
- impersonate someone else, or misrepresent who you are
- probe, scan, overload, or attempt to circumvent our security or rate limits
- resell the service as your own without a written agreement with us
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms. Where the breach is not serious and can be fixed, we will normally warn you first.
Plans, trials and billing
- Paid plans include a 14 day free trial. We ask for card details up front and do not charge until the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or annually, until cancelled.
- Prices are shown exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. VAT is applied at checkout where it applies.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep access until then.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
- If a payment fails we will retry. If it keeps failing we may downgrade or suspend the account.
We may change prices. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email, and the change applies from the next renewal.
Your data and your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into WAButton, including your widget configuration and the leads you collect. You grant us only the licence needed to host and operate the service for you.
Where we handle personal data on your behalf, we act as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for telling the people concerned what you are doing. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
Availability
We work to keep WAButton available, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime commitment on any current plan, and you should not treat it as a critical communications channel without a fallback. We may take the service down for maintenance and will try to give notice for anything planned.
Our intellectual property
We keep all rights in the WAButton software, brand and documentation. These terms do not transfer any of that to you. The widget displays a small WAButton badge unless your plan removes it.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid unused period. On termination your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, so export anything you need first.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, revenue, business or goodwill, or for loss of data that you could have avoided by keeping your own copy. Our total liability in any 12 month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
The service is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will revise the date at the top, and for material changes we will email account holders. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of the country where you live.
