Step-by-step installation for Shopify

Follow these steps to add your WAButton installation code to your Shopify website.

    Open your Shopify Theme Code Editor

    From your Shopify Admin dashboard, go to Online Store -> Themes. Click the three dots (...) menu next to your live theme and select "Edit code".

    Pro tip: Always duplicate your live theme first as a safety backup before editing code.

    Locate theme.liquid

    In the left file navigator under Layout, click on theme.liquid. Scroll down to the very bottom of the file.

    Pro tip: You can use Ctrl+F or Cmd+F to quickly find the closing </body> tag.

    Paste the WAButton embed snippet

    Paste your unique WAButton script snippet immediately before the closing </body> tag.

    Pro tip: Placing the script right before </body> lets your store content load first.

    Save and verify live preview

    Click Save in the top right. Visit your live Shopify storefront to verify your WhatsApp button is active.
