Common questions

What is a good WhatsApp away message?

Three things, in one or two sentences: say you have seen the message, say when you will reply, and say what to do if it cannot wait. The middle one is where most messages fail — “we'll get back to you soon” tells a customer nothing, while “we're open 09:00–18:00, Monday to Friday” tells them whether to wait or call.

What is the difference between an away message and a greeting message?

A greeting message goes out on someone's first message to you, whatever the time. An away message goes out only outside the hours you set. Many businesses want both: a welcome for new contacts and an out-of-hours reply for everyone.

Can I set this up automatically?
